Tekno disqualified from HEADIES "Next Rated" award list

Nigerian music sensation Tekno has been disqualified from the Headies ‘Next Rated’ award category ahead of the highly anticipated Headies awards taking place on Thursday December 22 at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Lagos Nigeria.

Tekno was initially nominated for the category also featuring the likes of  Ycee, Aramide, Humblesmith and Mr Eazi.

According to reports from top sources, Tekno lost his spot on the list due to his refusal to honour the category and support the campaign.

Nominees are expected to attend promotion activities for the event, and also take part in promotion for the category sponsor.

The singer a month ago lambasted the organizers in an Instagram post for including him in the “Next Rated” category.

“Next rated after how many years! Let’s be honest pls”, he said.
