Andrey Karlov was assassinated on Monday at an art exhibition in Ankara, Turkey, confirmed Russian embassy sources.
Andrey Karlov, 62 was shot in the back by a 22-year-old off-duty police officer as he delivers a speech at the art gallery.
According to reports, the gunman was heard shouting “God is great!” and “don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria!.”

gunman also injured at least three others in the attack, which was captured on video.
Turkish officials said the attacker was killed by other officers in a shootout.
