US Olympics and swimming legend, Michael Phelps covers the front page of the latest edition of Sports
Illustrated magazine for the 12th time in his career, and this time, he wore all 23 of his
record Olympic gold medals hanged around his neck.
He told SI magazine the reason for his decision to retire from the game which he announced during the 2016 Rio games in Brazil where he won six more medals - five gold and one silver.
Phelps, who is regarded as the most decorated Olympic athlete in history said the 2016 Rio Games were his final Olympics, but gave little hint he’d be back for Tokyo in 2020.
