Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero gets four-match ban for violent conduct
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, was on Monday handed a four-match ban by the English Football Association FA for
violent conduct.
Aguero was shown a straight red card in stoppage
time of Manchester City’s Premier League home match at the Etihad Stadium with Chelsea, which they lost 3-1 after he went for a two-footed lunge on Chelsea's centre back David Luiz.
Following Aguero’s tackle, a melee erupted between the players and coaching staff from both teams who got involved in ugly scenes during which City midfielder Fernandinho was also sent off for grabbing Chelsea midfielder, Cesc Fabregas in the neck. Fernandinho will also serve a three-game ban.
