Hillary Clinton, officially the most voted losing presidential candidate in US election history after defeating Donald Trump by nearly 2.9 million votes (2.1%)


According to all revised and certified final election results released from all 50 states of America and the District of Columbia on Wednesday, revealed that Democratic party presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton as officially the most voted presidential candidate in the history of US election after surpassing President-elect Donald Trump by almost 2.9 million votes, with 65,844,954 (48.2%) to his 62,979,879 (46.1%).



Though Trump defeated Clinton convincingly in the Electoral College votes gaining 306 as against Clinton's 232, Clinton's 2.1% popular votes win margin is ranked third among defeated candidates in the US elections history.


According to data statistics from US Elections Atlas, Hillary Clinton’s 2.1% margin ranks third highest among defeated presidential candidates, behind Andrew Jackson who won his election by more than 10% in 1824 but was denied the presidency, which went to John Quincy Adams and Samuel Tilden who received 3% more votes than Rutherford B. Hayes in 1876.
