Cyprus Talks: Talks resume as negotiators agree to meet three times a week

Following the break down in reunification talks between the Greek Cypriot side and Turkish Cypriot side in Mont Pèlerin, Switzerland last month over disagreements on property, talks has resumed between the two sides as negotiators from both sides agreed on Monday to meet three times a week as part of the renewed round of negotiations, it was reported on Monday.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, Andreas Mavroyiannis and Ozdil Nami met on Monday and agreed that they will be meeting three times a week – Monday, Wednesday, Friday – in a bid to achieve further progress on all outstanding issues. 

The report also said that both leaders will intervene when necessary to fill in the blanks.

The report say no meeting has been arranged between Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci and Greek Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades as talks are expected to be conducted by the negotiators.
