Arsenal unlucky again as they face Bayern Munich in Champions League round of 16 draw

The much awaited round of 16 Champions league draw is over and again English Premier League side, Arsenal have been drawn against usual nemesis, Bayern Munich, (but not Barcelona this time), a tie gunners fans around the world least expected owing to the fact that the Emirate club finished top of its group this season for the first time since the 2011-12 campaign.

Arsenal faced Bayern in the group stage last year after the German side coached by present City boss Pep Guardiola, dumped them out of the competition at the round-of-16 stage in 2012-13 and 2013-14. This time the Gunners will be hoping to subdue the German side as they aim to reach the quarterfinals of the competition for the first time since 2009-10.

Other big ties of the round sees Spanish champion Barcelona faces French champion Paris Saint-Germain.

The Champions league defending champions Real Madrid will take on Italian side, Napoli while English champion, Leicester City will play Europa League holders Sevilla after winning their group.

Another Premier league side Manchester City will face French Ligue 1 side Monaco as the 2015-16 Champions league runners-up, Atletico Madrid, take on German side Bayer Leverkusen, while Italian champions Juventus play Portugal champions Porto.

German giant Borussia Dortmund will face Portuguese side Benfica in the final tie.
