TRUTH: You cant be a member of a denomination!! - by Humphey Adun

The major stress placed on GOING TO CHURCH, always refers to going to a place, to a denomination, a common doctrinal values, a brand, a religious logo, a structural setting. And this idea then grows to become a sort of personalized item, and so you hear people say `Am going to MY CHURCH`, and by this they mean, a place where they have decided to `exercise their religious duties`. This has become A REALITY to many Christians, and is even a BASIS of judgement of the good or bad Christian in the eyes of many.  

But it does baffle me a lot how that this is exactly what Jesus came to abolish, a practice he passionately spoke against. The true church of Jesus is not a place, or denomination, or set of principles, NO man!!. Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well in one of his dealings of `Place as representative of worship`. In John 4, she complains of the right place of worship but Jesus completely took her attention away from location to HOW  `THE KIND OF WORSHIPERS` (JOHN 4vs23). The true church of God means Ekklesia `A called Out`. The church is A PERSON whose life is representative of Christ. So the question you may ask is, is gathering of Christians wrong?. OBVIOUSLY NOT. In revelation 2, when Bible talks about the church in Ladiocea, church in Ephesus, Church in Philadephia etc, it is easily likened to saying in this present days as `the church in Lefkosa`, `the church in Girne`, `the church in Magusa`...it was a gathering of believers who live in the same city. It is easily quoted of David words saying `i was glad when they said lets go to the HOUSE OF THE LORD`. The definition of that has changed in the new testament as it is clear that the House of God is not buildings made with hands, for We are the house of the Lord (1cor.3vs16). 

And so, the real question is, when people engage you AS THE HOUSE OF THE LORD, do they experience the Joy of heaven or do you hide behind the walls of buildings and religious traditions and exercises. The church IS ONE that worships in spirit and in truth IRRESPECTIVE OF WHERE.

It is really painful to see many believers living below their worth because they are held down by ignorant leaders or fellow believers.  This is because these ones have defined their worth and christain growth based on religious participation IN A PLACE . YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF ANY DENOMINATION!!, rather WE ARE MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST (1cor.12vs27). 

In these days, GOD will CALL OUT his own sheep OUT OF THE DENOMINATIONS, not into another denomination. He will train them and build them up as A CHURCH that the gates of hell cannot prevail against. (Revelation 18:4, Matthew 5:14, 2 Corinthians 6:17.)

Finally, just be REAL WITH THE FATHER, Jesus died for you not the system. your going or not going to a particular PLACE of service is irrelevant as compared to HOW you worship the father . Serve God in truth, in a place where the atmosphere of truth and glory is.
