Hillary Clinton reveals her election aftershock from losing to Donald Trump

Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton has made her first public appearance since her painful defeat to Donald Trump last week revealing the emotional impact and admitted that she "never wanted to leave the house again."
Speaking at an event for the Children’s Defense Fund, a nonprofit advocacy group for underprivileged children. Clinton told the audience: “I will admit coming here tonight wasn’t the easiest thing for me.”
“There have been a few times this past week when all I wanted to do is just to curl up with a good book or our dogs, and never leave the house again.”
Clinton noted that many in the audience were deeply disappointed about the election outcome.
“I am too, more than I can ever express,” she said.
“But as I said last week, our campaign was never about one person or even one election. It was about the country we love and about building an America that is hopeful, inclusive and big-hearted. I didn’t get into public service to hold high office.
“Forty-five years ago that would have seemed an absolutely wrongheaded view. But I did decide to be an activist to use my law degree to help kids.”
Clinton also spoke about the aftermath of the election result, which has led to several protests across the US against Trump and his policies.
“The divisions laid bare by this election run deep,” she said.
“But please listen to me when I say this: America is worth it ... never ever give up.
“I still believe that we can make the impossible possible.”
