Donald Trump praises his protesters’ ‘passion’

US president-elect Donald Trump has praised his protesters passion for the country following the continued protests against his surprise victory at the polls on Wednesday. 

Trump in a tweet on Friday said Americans will “come together and be proud”.

“Love the fact that the small groups of protesters last night have passion for our great country. We will all come together and be proud,” he tweeted.

Trump had earlier on Thursday voiced his concerns over the continued protest in several cities across the US and tweeted that;

“Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!”
