Aubameyang, Yaya Toure and Riyad Mahrez lead BBC African player of the year award shortlist
BBC has announced its shortlist for its African football player of the year award with Sadio Mane of Liverpool and Senegal, Riyad Mahrez of Leicester City and Algeria, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund and Gabon, West
Ham's Andre Ayew of West Ham and Ghana and Yaya Toure of Manchester City and Ivory Coast all making the five-man short list.
The five-man shortlist was revealed during a special live launch broadcast on Saturday while the winner is set to be decided by fans from across the world who have until November 28th to vote for their choice.
The winner of the award, will be announced on Monday December 12th, 2016.
