United Nations Resolution declares Jerusalem's Holy site a Muslim shrine and not Jewish
The United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO on Thursday reclassified one of the world's most important religious sites, reverend by both the Jews and Muslim, the Jerusalem’s Temple Mount and Western Wall as solely a Muslim site following the organization's move to adopt a polarizing resolution that fails to state any Jewish
link to the site.
The new resolution condemns Israel for its policies in Jerusalem and the West Bank, that declared that Jerusalem is holy to three monotheistic religions which includes Judaism, Islam and Christianity.
The resolution includes a special section regarding the Temple Mount that says the site is holy only to Muslims but failing to mention that it was holy to the Jews.
The resolution did not also refer to the Al-Aqsa mosque either by the Hebrew name for the site, Har Habayit, or its English translation, the Temple Mount, but only refer to it by its Muslim name.
