Turkish Airlines bans Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 from all of it's flights

Turkish Airlines on Friday banned Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 smartphones devices from all of its flights with immediate effect after reports of fire risk.

The ban comes following recent reports of the product exploding batteries and fire which has lead to several injuries.

A warning message from the airliner on its website reads;
“Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices can no longer be transported on person, in carry-on baggage, in checked bags or as air cargo on all Turkish Airlines flights with immediate effect.”
The airline did not provide detailed reasons for the ban.

The device issue has prompted the South Korean electronics giant to recall all Note 7 smartphones, including replacements.

In a similar move by other Airline, German carrier Lufthansa had earlier on Tuesday announced the ban of Galaxy Note 7 smartphones from all of its flights.
