Robert De Niro to receive the 2017 Chaplin Award

Holly Wood legend, Robert De Niro will receive the 2017, annual Chaplin Award, to honour major industry talents announced the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

De Niro who has a 40-year acting career under his belt will be awarded the 44th trophy.

He will be honoured by the The Film Society of Lincoln Center at a gala night on Monday, May 8, 2017.

The event will feature prominent guests and presenters including movie and interview footage drawn from his acting career.

Since his debut four decades ago, De Niro has stared in several movies including Mean Streets, Raging Bull and The Godfather Part II and to even recent projects such as Silver Linings Playbook.
