Kim Kardashian sues website over false claim

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West is taking her first action post her Paris robbery ordeal last week by filling a lawsuit in federal court in New York against the celebrity gossip website MediaTakeout, for reporting that she lied about the armed robbery incident on Monday October 3rd in Paris, France.

The 35-year old who has kept a low profile since the incident in Paris is suing the website for claiming that she staged managed the robbery attack "without any factual support whatsoever".

The mother of two and wife to rapper Kanye West was robbed in her private Paris residence in the early hours of Monday last week when she was in Paris with the rest of her family for the Paris Fashion Week.

Kim was alone at the time of the robbery incident when 5 armed mask men pointed a gun at her temple, bound her and lucked her up in a bath tub before robbing her of her jewellery worth $US10 million.

Kim's lawsuit, which seeks an unspecified damages for defamation, names the website and its founder, Fred Mwangaguhunga, as defendants.

The lawsuit also said that the defendant, Mwangaguhunga refused to publish a retraction and an apology "for calling her a liar and a criminal."

The website should issue Kim an apology and let peace reign. Kim has been through a lot recently.
