Kim Kardashian drops robbery lawsuit against MediaTakeOut

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West has dropped a US defamation lawsuit against a website for publishing claims that she staged acted the armed robbery incident she experienced in Paris early this month.

The 35-year-old mother of to withdrew the lawsuit she filed last week in New York against US the celebrity gossip site MediaTakeOut, claimed a court document on Monday. 

Kim in the lawsuit had sought unspecified damages for defamation.

According to reports, the lawsuit was dropped without bias which means Kim can still refile the law suit.

MediaTakeOut had reported that Kim faked the robbery incident and then filed a fraudulent insurance claim in the aftermath of Kim's robbery incident in a Paris apartment on October, 3 where she was robbed at gun point and her jewellery worth $US10 million taken from her by the masked armed men who also tied her and locked her in the bathtub.

Kim quickly returned to the US and since then has stayed away from the media.
