Suicide bomber kills 7, wounds 28 in Iraq
Iraq: At least seven people has been
killed and 28 others wounded after a suicide bomber blew himself up in a
street of Baghdad, Iraq on Sunday police sources say.
The explosion occurred in Iskan, a mostly Shi'ite district in the west of Baghdad.
No group has claim responsibility for the attack but it is believed that the Islamic State group which has stepped up bomb attacks in government-held areas this year as it loses territory to US-backed Iraqi forces and Iranian-backed Shi'ite militias may be behind the attack.
The hardline Sunni group continues to control large areas in northern and western Iraq, including the city of Mosul, which was captured in 2014.
