Hillary Clinton scored higher than Donald Trump in US presidential debate

US: Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton shines over the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Monday's first US presidential debate between the White House hopefuls as a bombastic and an argumentative Trump shouted down the moderator and possibly his own candidacy hopes.
Analyzing the debate, Michael Kelly, a leading speech and body language expert said Trump showed unpresidential qualities when he repeatedly interrupted both Clinton and the moderator, speaking “very quickly” and showing “a lot of bombast”.
“If you’re talking very quickly the correlation is, ‘Is this guy in control?’ He stopped abruptly sometimes, almost like he had some stream of consciousness but then he stopped, he didn’t know where to close,” Kelly said.
Kelly also noted that Hillary Clinton on few occasion interrupted the moderator, but said Trump did the worst.

Kelly said Trump has the swagger but not the control, scoring him unremarkable 6.5 out of 10.

Clinton, who didn’t lose her confidence even when Trump argued and threw barbs at her, that she don’t have the “stamina” to be president, scored a remarkable 8 out of 10.

Kelly said Hillary Clinton recovered from an overly scripted opening to finish with a moving address to world leaders, looking straight into the camera.
“She was very measured speaking and that’s a manner of presidential speaking,” Kelly said.
“She took the higher plane it seems on balance and she looked at Trump when he was barraging her with his attacks ... not flinching and looking away. She took it stoically.”
Kelly noted that Hillary Clinton dwelled more on the wider group while Trump was too “self-congratulatory”.
Trump who spoke emotionally about racism, was generally too concerned with emphasizing his own personal achievements during the debate.
“I thought it was unpresidential that he was attacking people and institutions, The New York Times, Janet Yellen. It was not the higher plane,” Kelly said.
Trump at one point made raised questions about Hillary Clinton’s health, but his ceaseless sniffling and snorting was careful taken note of during his two minutes and was even pointed out by viewers on Twitter.
“He has this nasal snort which is distracting when he takes a breath,” Kelly said.
“That was just something that I noticed.”
