Football Paper Round: Rooney struggling with pressure - Mourinho

Mourinho reveals Rooney struggling with pressure
Jose Mourinho has claimed Rooney is struggling with the pressure of poor form, according to the Daily Mail. The United manager warned Rooney that he will not be picked on reputation but merit, as his poor run of Premier League and international form continues.
Mourinho also believes that criticism from outside the club is excessive, and his form for England in the summer hasn't helped his mindset.

Loris Karius set for Liverpool start against Hull
Loris Karius will start for Liverpool on the weekend, according to the Daily Mail. The report says that Karius will start in goal for Liverpool before Simon Mignolet, after the German came back from a broken hand injury to play against Derby in the EFL Cup mid-week. Karius arrived at Liverpool from Mainz in June for £5 million.

Cesc Fabregas likely to start against Arsenal
Antonio Conte should allow midfielder Cesc Fabregas to start against Arsenal, according to the Daily Mail. Conte hinted that he was ready to give the Spanish international his first start of the season, after mounting speculation he was a chance to leave the club. Two goals mid-week against Leicester in the EFL Cup are likely to have moved Fabregas up the pecking order.

Ryan Giggs open to Swansea job
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is open to taking the Swansea job, according to the Sun. The Welsh club's American owners are considering a change from current manager Francesco Guidolin, as a poor run of form since taking over from Garry Monk has the club in a slump. There is still a level of unease around making the decision, and the club's owners don't want to make a decision too hastily.
