5.1 magnitude quake hit Tibet

China: According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the CENC, it reported that a magnitude 5.1 earthquake shook the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in western China's Sichuan province on Friday.
The quake, with a depth of about 16 kilometres, was felt at 1.23 am local time and was recorded at 30.10 degrees latitude north and 99.61 degrees longitude east.

A statement by CENC, released by China official news agency Xinhua, it said no casualties were reported at the time of the report.

Ganzi has a population of less than one million people, mostly ethnic Tibetans and is located on the Tibetan plateau.
