Taylor Swift donates $1US million to Louisiana flood victims

US: US songstress Taylor Swift even in the face of criticisms and humiliation from her ex, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Amber Rose, Justin Bieber and fans alike, that did not stop her from been a generous person by donating $US1 million to the state of Louisiana after torrential rains caused massive flooding that has killed at least 11 people.

Speaking to the Associated Press, Swift said she was heartbroken watching as residents are been forced to flee their homes adding that the residents made her felt completely at home when she toured the state in 2015 and she's encouraging others to "help out and send your love and prayers" to those suffering.

According to reports, the flooding which has damaged at least 40,000 home is regarded as some of the worst in Louisiana flooding history.

More than 60,000 people have been registered for disaster aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency since the massive flooding hit the state.
