Paper Round: Paul Pogba flies back to Europe to complete Manchester United move
Pogba flies in to complete United deal
Moyes: I should still be Man Utd boss
Lukaku's patience with Everton runs out
Paul Pogba has tweeted a picture of himself taking the skies to return to Europe and complete his protracted Manchester United
transfer - reports the Independent. The France international had been
on holiday in Las Vegas, but is ready to play football again after his
summer break and is keen to do
so at Old Trafford. Pogba's social media
activity during his holiday has been a source of great intrigue, with
the forward posting "Breaking news: Pogba undergoes medical check in
Universal Studios amusement park California," under one post, while also
being pictured signing a Manchester United shirt.
Moyes: I should still be Man Utd boss
David Moyes says he was "unfairly treated" by Manchester United
and should still be in charge at Old Trafford - according to quotes in
the Daily Mail. Moyes signed a six year deal to take over from Sir Alex Ferguson as United manager, but lasted just ten months before being given the sack. And the former Everton coach believes the events at the club since then prove that he should still be in charge.
" When you sign a six-year contract and you end up being there 10 months - yeah, I believe I was unfairly treated," Moyes said. "I didn't win enough, but you must say there were mitigating circumstances. And I think there are maybe things that have gone on since then that would actually justify that even more so."
Moyes was speaking at his first Premier League press conference in over two years as he made a public appearance as Sunderland manager for the first time.
Romelu Lukaku has told Everton that he wishes to leave this summer, with Chelsea
poised to increase a bid for their former striker - reports the Metro.
The 23-year-old was reportedly the subject of a £68m approach from the
Blues, but Everton are holding out for £7m more before allowing their
star striker to leave. Lukaku feels that he has unfinished business at
Chelsea and believes that the Antonio Conte era will be well-suited to him achieving that goal.
