Nigerians reacts to Solomon Dalung blunder ''United STATES of Nigeria'' (video)

Nigeria: Nigerians have taken to social media to blast the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung over what they tagged a “national blunder.” Recall Dalung, who was addressing newsmen on why the Nigerian U-23 football team was yet to depart for Rio, Brazil, referred to Nigeria as United States of Nigeria. Dalung on explaining why the team was stranded in the US, said,

“Our U-23 team is suffering in the United States of Nigeria.”

The video clips, which has gone viral on the internet has drew wide spread condemnation from many Nigerians who wondered why a minister could make such blunder.

One online user, Eteka Ulloh said,

 “What do you expect from man scout? Even his dress sense says it all.”

Another user Olumide Oluyomi said,

 “United States of Nigeria! Is this man really a lawyer or actually a comedian?”

Hakeem AFC said,

“not to worry, we are now officially an annex of USA as the new United States of Nigeria according to Dalong. USA will pay.”
