Niger Delta militants declare war on Muslims if Boko Haram carry out its threat on Christains in the north

Nigeria: Militant in the Niger Delat region of Nigeria, the Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders NDRC have warned that it would carry out reprisal attacks on Muslims and mosques in response to the threats issued by the new Boko Haram leader if Boko Haram Musab Al-barnawi to kill Christians and burn down churches in the north.


The (NDRC), in a statement on Saturday, August 6, warned that Niger Delta youths would launch attack on any Muslim or mosque in the Niger Delta region if Boko Haram goes true with it's threat to kill Christians or burn churches.

The group's spokesperson W O I Izon-Ebi, described the threat by the new Boko Haram leader to kill all Christians and burn down all churches as a plot to Islamize Nigeria adding that the Niger Delta youths in this 21st century will not accept killing of innocent Christians or burning of churches.

“If they try it in the north or any part of Nigeria, we the Niger Delta youths will not see any Muslim or mosque in the Niger Delta,” it said.

“We are not against President Buhari granting the Boko Haram amnesty if their sole purpose is to own an Islamic caliphate in the north, but they should not shift it to the Niger Delta.”

“All we know and want is resource control and true federalism, if truly they believe in one Nigeria, and are working harder to build a prosperous One Nigeria, let them shift their Operation Crocodile Tears to the Fulani herdsmen and the Boko Haram that is threatening the unity and peace of Nigeria,” the group said.

In another related development, the declaration by new Boko Haram leader, Musab Al-barnawi that the group’s new strategy will be carry out attacks on Christians and churches sent fear among Christians living in the northern part of Nigeria with churches and Christians in the north, especially in Borno state, have been placed on alert, to avert any of such attacks.
To this extent, some Christians in the north are already leaving en-mass to avoid falling victim of terrorist attacks.
