Manchester United's new signing, Paul Pogba suspended for first premier league match by FA

Football: Manchester United's new world-record signing Paul Pogba has been suspended for the Old Trafford's club first Premier League match of the season against Bournemouth on Sunday, the Football Association has confirmed.

The 23-year-old who returned to Manchester United for a world record transfer fee of £89.3 million from Juventus this summer will have to wait until at least Friday next week to make his second United debut.

The French man's suspension is as a result of the two bookings he received in last season's Coppa Italia, the second of which came in the 1-0 victory over AC Milan in the final.

The FA in it's Twitter handle confirmed the suspension is transferred over to the English game, rendering him ineligible to play on Sunday.
According to Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinh, Pogba will however be fit to face Southampton on Aug. 19.
Speaking to a news conference, Mourinho said;
"By Tuesday, he [Pogba] will be ready to play against Southampton," "I found out two days ago [that Pogba faced a ban].
"I knew the situation with the yellow cards. I didn't know if the suspension would be in Italian football, a suspension for the same competition, or the corresponding competition in England, the FA Cup. I didn't know that, so I was waiting for the decision."
