Libyan forces retakes Sirte convention centre off ISIS

Libya: Libyan forces battling to dislodge Islamic State ISIS from Sirte on Wednesday said they have made a significant advances, gaining control of a large convention centre formerly used by the jihadist group as a base.

Speaking on the progress made, a force spokesman Rida Issa in the media office said; 

"Our forces have complete control of the whole of the Ouagadougou (convention) complex - they even advanced some distance beyond the complex,"adding that fighters also captured Sirte's hospital and university complex.
