Kardashian family' slams Tyga amid fears his arrest warrant controversy 'could damage their brand'

Celebrities: Tyga is faced with continued legal issues after he failed to attend a lawsuit on Tuesday afternoon which led to an arrest warrant being issued by a Los Angeles judge. This had led to Tyga reportedly facing backlash from furious members of the Kardashian family for his no-show.

According to TMZ, the rapper has been criticized for potentially damaging the highly lucrative Kardashian-Jenner brand by failing to show up at the Santa Monica courthouse,but instead opting to join Kylie celebrate her 19th birthday on Turks and Caicos in the Bahamas on Wednesday.

Tyga’s legal issues emanated from his failure to pay a $480,000 judgement against him for back rent and damage at a Malibu home he rented in 2011.

Newman signed a bench warrant, which is usually issued in the case of a failure to appear for trial and which could lead to Tyga being jailed, with bail otpion set at $10,000. 

TMZ reported that the landlord’s attorney had noted the recent media reports that Tyga bought Jenner a $200,000 car for her birthday.

Tyga was served with a notice of the hearing while he was on stage during a concert at San Diego’s Fluxx Night Club on July 20.
