''I can’t dance” as Adele confirms she won’t be performing at “Super Bowl 51” halftime show in 2017 (video)

Celebrities: Adele has disclosed that she will not be performing at the “Super Bowl 51” Halftime Show in 2017. Rumors had surfaced in early August that Adele was favourite to headline the Super Bowl 51 halftime show after reports emerged that the British singer was approached by the NFL to perform at the February 2017 event in Houston. During her concert on Saturday night at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, Adele confirmed that she was offered the gig, but turned down the offer.

“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl, I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really… I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no. I’m sorry. Maybe next time, for my next album, because I’m going to do a dance album next time. So maybe I’ll do it then.” Adele said.
The Hello singer also rejected rumors making the rounds that she is pregnant.
“I’m having a cheese baby,” the singer joked, caressing her stomach adding that no one in the media found out about her pregnancy the last time she was pregnant until she was seven months along. “Stupid rumors. They’re so fucking stupid”.
Following Adele's comments, the NFL and Pepsi immediately issued a joint statement on Sunday denying the claims that Adele was offered a chance to perform at next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
“The NFL and Pepsi are big fans of Adele, we have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time.”
