US: Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort 67 who has been under fire in connection with a Ukrainian corruption investigation has resigned as the chairman of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign just two days after he was removed in a team reshuffle.

In a state by Trump who was paying tribute to Paul Manafort, he said;
“This morning, Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign.”
“I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process,” Mr Trump said.
“Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success.”

Trump had recruited the veteran strategist and lobbyist’s skills who was a former advisor to the pro-Kremlin former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, early in 2016.
