The Blues will also chuck Loic Remy into the mix, though the English outlet reports the Toffees will stubbornly hold out for £75m. Milan to present enticing Cuadrado offer
Juan Cuadrado is back with Chelsea at training, with his Italian manager, Antonio Conte, raving about the Colombian at every opportunity. Cuadrado seems to have come to the realisation, after a season on loan with Juventus, that home is Serie A and that's where he'll play his best football.
The Evening Standard suggests that AC Milan are ready to offer £8.4m for a season-long loan, with a further £15.1m coming a year later. If the former Fiorentina speedster doesn't have his heart in it, Chelsea ought to seriously consider recouping the majority of their outlay for the 28-year-old.
Swansea reject Everton bid for captain
Much of the talk Tuesday centred on the bargain deal Everton were about to strike for Ashley Williams of Swansea. The Swans side have turned down the Toffees' £10m bid, according to the Star and plenty other outlets, and when you consider Crystal Palace forked out a similar figure for James Tomkins, that makes perfect sense.
Whether Everton see Williams as a replacement for John Stones or added competition remains to be seen, but with Manchester City ready to splash up to £50m on the England centre-back, Swansea have every right to demand more than a fifth of that sum.

Southampton ready to land Belgian maestro
Saints are looking to spend £6m on Belgian midfielder Steven Defour to save him from his Anderlecht nightmare, reports the Sun.
The report suggests that Claude Puel will reach out to Defour, who has been rejected by his own fans ever since joining from Porto in 2014 due to his previous allegiance to bitter rivals Standard Liege. With almost 50 caps for Belgium, Defour's experience would be vital for the Saints and could go some way to replacing Victor Wanyama, who was sold to Spurs this summer.
