Biafra: IPOB members jubilates in Onitsha after release of it's members from jail

Nigeria: Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), were thrown into jubilation in various parts of Anambra state, on Thursday, August 11, after news broke out that the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, has ordered the release of all their members who were arrested and detained by security agencies in Abia state, during their prayer rally in February this year.

Speaking to newsmen in Onitsha in reaction to the release of its members, the group in a statement said all IPOB members worldwide under the leadership of the director of Radio Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, were commending the AGF and all those who have common sense to understand that all those arrested during the prayer rally in Aba must be released.

Speaking on the release of their members, IPOB’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, described it as a good omen.

Mr. Powerful said the group was only agitating for the restoration of Biafra and not to take over the leadership of Nigeria from the Muhammadu Buhari-led government.

In a related development, the head office of Biafra Choice Writers alleged that their security agents gave report that President Muhammadu Buhari is getting desperate in his attempts to kill the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu in jail.

According to the source of the Biafra Telegraph, it observed that recent communication from the office of chief of army staff that was signed by Colonel S. Sulaiman was part of the plan.

He also raised red alert claiming that the deadly Boko Haram sect had concluded plans to attack prisons across Nigeria.
