Adele cancels Phoenix concert due to illness, apologizes to fans in emotional post (video)

Celebrities: The Adele show scheduled to hold on August 17 at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Ariz was postponed due to Adele's illness on Wednesday. A statement by the organizers, Live Nation, says, "Please hold onto your tickets and stay tuned for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience. Refunds available at point of purchase." The 28-year-old British singer who is recovering from a cold, in an emotional video has apologized to fans for the disappointment telling them she had no choice but to cancel the show scheduled for Wednesday August 17. "I can't do my show tonight, my second show here. I'm really, really sorry," she explained.
Adele who was sporting a red-nose and puffy eyes, appeared visibly ill in the video.
"I've been pushing though it and I did my show last night and I loved it, but I pushed too hard,"
"My cold has gotten the better of me," she said.

"I know lots of fan would be flying in, from all over, it's the last thing I want to do but I have to look after myself because I've got so many more shows to do," she said.
"Even if I did the show, it wouldn't be any good," she added.
Adele promised to reschedule the performance.
"I'm really, really sorry, have a wonderful evening without me," she concluded, blowing a kiss to her fans.
