“When will oil companies learn, we said no export” – NDA blows up ExxonMobil pipeline

Nigeria: The Niger Delta Avengers NDA have blown another oil pipeline belonging to ExxonMobil Qua Iboe 48 crude oil export pipeline in Bayelsa state on Monday night.
The group in a brief statement signed by its spokesperson Brig.Gen Mudoch Agbinibo announced the bombing on its website.
It reads:
“At about 7:30pm the Niger Delta Avengers blow up ExxonMobile Qua Iboe 48” crude oil export pipeline.
“When will these International Oil companies (IOC) learn to listen. We (Niger Delta Avengers) said no export.”
The state government or ExxonMobil are yet to respond to the claims.

Also the group had earlier warned the federal government on why they won’t allow it export crude oil from the region.
The group said, since President Muhammadu Buhari has decided to avoid the demand for legitimate dialogue with militants and stakeholders on the Niger Delta issue, it would continue to hamper all avenues by him to export crude oil from the region.

The group also claimed that the struggle has entered a new phase with Buhari’s mentality of winning the battle and losing the war.

The group also rebuffed the assumptions that ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, recently nominated by Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, as a member of its Aaron 2 Negotiating Team, was the sponsor of Avengers.
