Video: Live feeds of the Nigerian Air Force bombarding Boko Haram in Sambisa forest

Nigeria: Footage has emerged of the Nigeria Air Force NAF bombarding Boko Haram with 2 x F-7Ni fighter jet in Sambisa forest in Borno State on Thursday as the NAF intensifies its air operations in the Northeast against the insurgents. See video below

The Air Component of OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE recorded another major success in its air campaign against the Terrorists.

The air strike location lies between Tumbum Rego and Malkonory and about 25km from Kangarwa where the NAF ground forces are currently harboured.


From the footage, the location of the air strike harbours the terrorist group makeshift structures including about 4-6 groups of solar panels which are used by the terrorists to power communications equipment and for lighting.


The latest operation
tagged “OPERATION GAMA AIKI” is part of the air strike carried out by the Nigerian Air Force in support of the efforts by own ground forces and the Multi National Joint Task Force to rid the country of  terrorists.
 

Prior to the air strike, the location, had been under surveillance for sometimes but was reported active by a NAF Beechcraft aircraft on Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission. 

Following that, the Fighter aircraft were immediately scrambled for interdiction.
