Nigeria: Online social networking site, Twitter on Monday suspended the official account of the Nigerian militant group, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) ''@NDAvengers.''
The group which has been responsible for recent attacks on oil facilities in the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria, uses the site as a veritable avenue to announces its activities, views and demands.
When the Twitter account was visited on Monday morning, it read:
“This account has been suspended,” asking users to “enter a topic,
@name, or full name.”
The
suspension comes just hours after the militant group announced series of attacks it carried out on oil facilities belonging to the NNPC and
Chevron Nigeria Limited within the Niger Delta region.
No statement has been issued in connection to the account
suspension by Twitter or the Niger Delta Avengers militant group.
