Woman who live streamed her boyfriend shooting launches a massive protest after release from jail
US: The distraught woman, Diamond Reynolds who live-streamed her 32 year old boy friend Philando Castile dying after he was shot five times by a cop in Saint Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday has launched a massive protest at the police for killing him in front of her daughter.
Reynolds who was handcuffed and taken into custody until 5am on Thursday after a cop in Falcon Heights, Saint Paul, shot her boyfriend, Philando Castile, wept as she said her four-year-old daughter will ‘forever be scarred’ by the incident.
Footage recorded and streamed live on Facebook by Reynolds during the incident prompted widespread outrage and protests in Saint Paul among black communities.
Hours after she was released from jail, Reynolds who was flanked by crowd of supporters carrying placards with the caption; ''Black Lives Matter'', launched a massive protest with a 20-minute speech calling out on the community to come together.
The recent controversial police shooting of black men in the last 24 hours has led to calls for a federal investigation to be launched by the Governor of Minnesota.
