Paul Le Guen rejects Super Eagles job as Nigerians react

Nigeria: Frenchman Paul Le Guen has reportedly turned down an offer by the Nigeria Football Federation NFF to manage it's men senior national team. Recall that the NFF Technical Committee had on Monday announced the former Cameroon Coach as the new Technical Adviser for the Super Eagles, subject to approval from the Executive committee.

However reports from France on Tuesday by French journalist, Herve Penot, claims 52-year-old rejected the offer because the NFF failed to meet his demands and terms.
“Paul le Guen will not go to Nigeria. Requirements not met to be coach. Nothing to do with the selection today,” a tweet from Penot read.
The rejection has sparked off series of reactions from Nigerians who took to social media to criticized the Glass House for the shabby handling of the matter.


Ken Carson Ejiofor wrote;
“Inconclusive appointment too,why conclude before rushing to the media.”

Facebook user Frank Leonard Ozoike expressing his disappointment wrote;
“We told you, soon the entire world will reject anything that has to do Nigeria simply because it’s an expired stuff made by the British company 102 years ago.. and has got an expiring date 1-01-2014. Nigeria is now worse than the expired Ebola, HIV drugs #mustAvoidHer !”
One Compitent Bravo expressed his frustration at the level of illiteracy of those behind the saga claiming that such an important news shouldn't have found it's way to the media if there had not been an official agreement between both parties.
“Who brought Nigeria to this level of mumuness where a firm announce the appointment of sum1 on the media without both parties agreeing on the contractual terms??????? illiteracy is gradually eating up NAIJA,,,,,I see no reason making public something am nt so sure of,,,,,,,” he fumed.
