Nigeria: The Nigeria Football Federation NFF on Monday announced the appointment of Frenchman Paul Le Guen, 52 as the new manager of the national team. The NFF described Le Guen's position as technical adviser, while he will be assisted by Nigerian Salisu Yusuf, who takes the role of chief coach.

The Nigerian Football Federation's Technical and Development Committee said the appointment is subject to agreement of contract terms with the NFF Executive Committee.

Le Guen who played for Brest, Nantes and Paris Saint-Germain during his playing career, won 17 caps for Frances before going on to managed Rennes, Lyon, PSG and Glasgow Rangers in Scotland and have also managed the Cameroonian and Oman national sides.

Nigeria have been without a coach since former coach Sunday Oliseh resigned in February.
