Nice attack: Katie Hopkins causes social media outrage with vitriolic rant after Nice terror attack

France: Outspoken columnist Katie Hopkins has been slammed on Twitter after she unleashed her most vitriolic rant after 84 people were killed in a terror attack in Nice on Thursday night. In her rant,

Hopkins had declared that: "Islam disgusts me".


A truck loaded with weapons and hand grenades was drove into crowds celebrating Bastille Day in Nice killing 84 people and leaving many wounded before police shot dead the driver who was identified as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel from Tunisia.
Hopkins launched vicious tirade saying;

"Mohamed? No, you must be mistaken.....For these are a peace loving people.
"Go on. Create a hashtag. Make a vigil in a public square. Say you stand united.....when will SOMEONE finally close the borders. # NiceAttack

 "Celebrities tweeting 'not again' every bit as responsible for terrorism as politicians failing to act. Sod your icon.

"Europe does not stand united. It sits like ducks. Start deporting those 'known' to police. Your hashtag #PrayforNice solves nothing."

One Twitter user hit back at Hopkins, branding her a "cretin":

"Wasn't it a French national though? Stop using tragedies as a medium to express your Islamaphobia you cretin."

  Katie responded to say:

" I am not Islamophobic. Islam disgusts me. This is entirely rational."

Another user Twitter user retaliated:

"The alleged perpetrator was from France you trout faced gobs****."

Katie responded:

"Tunisian, accepted by tolerant France. France needs to learn. Fast."

Katie was slammed by many for her views, with one saying:

"You're an absolute joke and an awful representative of this country and of the human race."
