Manchester United unveil new squad numbers as Zlatan Ibrahimovic takes Anthony Martial's No. 9

Football: English premier league club Manchester United have released their new squad numbers for the 2016/17 season with minor changes as Zlatan Ibrahimovic takes up the No. 9 shirt previously worn by Anthony Martial last season. Notably missing among the squad numbers are the No. 2 and 6 with speculation claiming that the No.6 is reserved for Paul Pogba whose move to the club is imminent.
Goal keeper David de Gae retains his No. 1 number as fellow goal keepers S. Romero and Sam Johnstone retain their No. 20 and 32 squad number respectively.


Manchester United's new signings, Eric Bailly, takes the No. 3 as Memphis Depay retains his No. 7 which he wore last season.


Former PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic takes the No. 9 as Martial will now wear the No. 11 shirt previously worn by Adnan Januzaj, who now switched to the No. 15.

Marcus Rashford wore the No. 39 squad number last season when he broke into the first team in February and will now wear the No. 19.

Another new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, was handed the No. 22, a number he previously wore during his playing time in Ukraine earlier in his career.

Juan Mata has retains his No. 8 squad number as other squad members retained their squad numbers from last season.
