Man shot in Malmo mall in Sweden

Sweden: An unidentified gunman has shot and wounded a man in a shopping mall in the city of Malmo, Sweden.

In a statement by Malmo police, it said the victim was shot in the leg and had been taken to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately known at the time of the report.

Police said they have not made any arrest and are yet to identified a suspect or the motive behind the shooting.

The incident happened in a predominantly immigrant neighbourhood of Malmo.

No group has taken responsibility for the attack yet.

Recent previous attacks in France, Germany and Belgium have been perpetuated by the Islamic State militant group.
