Islamic State's Twitter traffic plunges

US: A statistic by the US government has revealed that the Twitter handle of the Islamic State  has plummeted by 45% in the last two years.

According to officials, the drop and other data are seen as evidence that they're making headway towards the elimination of terrorist online propaganda.

The US drafted five fronts in 2014 when Washington formed an international coalition to fight IS.
The fronts includes military action, elimination of foreign fighters, cut finances, and also the need to tackle the group's extremist ideology and halt its popularity.

The figures from US show a 6-to-1 ratio of anti-IS content online compared with pro-IS content which is an improvement over time.

Pro-IS Twitter accounts discovered now, have about 300 followers each compared to 2014, when they had 1500 followers each.
