Indonesia set to execute 16 death-row convicts, including a Nigerian and a Zimbabwean

Indonesia: Indonesian Attorney-General H.M. Presetyo on Wednesday said the country is set to execute 16 people on its death-row convicts this year, including a Nigerian and a Zimbabwean. 

When asked if there were any foreigners among the convicts to be executed, Prasetyo told reporters:

"We have foreigners, among them from Nigeria and Zimbabwe."

Prasetyo also revealed that there were no convicts from the United States, Europe or Australia on the execution list. 

A spokesman for the attorney-general's office Mr Mohammad Rum, last month said the death row convicts will be executed "immediately after" the Islamic holy month of Ramadan but didn't give a particular date.
