Hillary Clinton: I will be the president, explains why she won’t enter Donald Trump’s ‘insult fest’

US: In an interview with 60 Minutes aired on the eve of Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Hillary Clinton says she’ll be president and will also consult with her husband Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama on how to be the president and also ruling out engaging Donald Trump in “insult fest” and spoke of the importance of the US electing a female president.

When asked that if she won the November election, there would be two presidents in the White House she said:
“I think its’s an all-hands-on-deck time,” adding that she would rely on President Obama as well as her husband.
She continued;
“I will be the president. But it does happen to be a historical fact that my husband served as president for eight years. And there’s a lot that happened which helped the American people during those eight years,”
“And I’m also going to by relying on President Obama,” she said.
Clinton said electing the first female president would be “a great moment” for America.
“And to accept that nomination on Thursday night, I’ll be thinking about all the women who came before … and I hope that it gives other women and girls the feeling that whatever their dreams might be, they can achieve them in this country.”
Clinton also said she “felt sad” about the Republican calls to “lock her up” during last week’s Republican National Convention.
“I don’t know what their convention was about other than criticising me,” Clinton said.
“I seem to be the only unifying theme.”
Clinton said she wouldn’t engage Trump in “insult fest” which he thrives on and would focus on his actions instead of name-calling.
“I don’t call him anything. And I’m not going to engage in that kind of insult fest that he seems to thrive on. So whatever he says about me, he’s perfectly free to use up his own airtime and his own space to do,” she said.
