Nigeria: A Nigerian pensioner was scammed of his money by a fraudster who pretended to be Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church
of God. The fraudster who prayed for him urged him to sow a seed of #10,000 into the life of a baby who was born with tumor on her face and her head which the man agreed to. A blog reader who whose father was the victim of the scam sent the alert to a blogger and pleaded that it be publicized. See the scam messages below.

My Daddy, (A pensioner in his 60s) got scammed yesterday
by a man claiming to be Daddy Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church
of God. I have observed that a lot of these fraudsters are on social
media under the guise of prominent individuals like Pa Adeboye.
After my Dad made the payment of his widow's mite, he
called to inform me and I felt terrible, so then I searched the name
Enoch Adejare Adeboye, and found out the 'plenty many' accounts that
exist on Facebook, I couldn’t recognize the real one myself, so I
started adding up all the supposed 'Enoch Adejares', lo and behold, one
of them responded and the attached conversation 1, 2, 3, ensued. (Please

We should be very careful with the people we deal with on social media sites in our quest for prayers and miracles as majority of fan and group pages on social media sites with the names of prominent and well respected people in the society are been used by fraudsters to meek unsuspecting innocent individuals of their valuables.
On several occasions Pastor E.A Adeboye has come out to speak about this issues advising the public never to give away their valuables and money to anyone as he will not request for money or any valuables from anyone to pray for them. He specifically stated that he has only one Facebook page and urged those behind the fake Facebook page to desist from using such in his name. This is the real Facebook page of Pastor E.A Adeboye :
