Football Paper Round: Jose Mourinho attempts to lure Blaise Matuidi to Manchester United
Man Utd set Twitter a-Blaise with Matuidi approach
Blaise Matuidi is set for a move to Manchester United after
being invited to England from France's training camp for talks over a
summer switch - reports The Sun. The France midfielder is reported to
have flown to Manchester from his national team's base in Clairefontaine
to discuss the terms of a
proposed £20m move from Paris Saint-Germain. The signing of the midfielder would be as an alternative to Paul Pogba, who is valued at four times the price.
Chelsea eye up Graziano Pelle
Antonio Conte
will look to bring Italy striker Pelle to Stamford Bridge if he misses
out on Alvaro Morata - reports the Express. Chelsea are attempting to
lure Morata away from Real Madrid after the Spanish club opted to enforce their buy-back clause and reclaim the forward from Juventus.
But Pelle is seen as a viable alternative if Chelsea's approach for the
Spain striker is unsuccessful, with the Blues willing to bid £12m for
the Southampton striker.
Oleksandr Zinchenko makes a huge step up
Manchester City
have completed the signing of talented Ukraine international Oleksandr
Zinchenko - reports The Guardian. The Ufa winger excelled in the Russian
Premier League last season and started all three matches for Ukraine at
Euro 2016, despite the strength of the squad in his position. Zinchenko
becomes City's fourth signing of the summer, joining Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito and Aaron Mooy at the Etihad.
