Gonzalo Higuain has turned down a giant deal from the Chinese
Super League, according to the Sun. The report says that Higuain turned
down a £800,000-a-week contract from Hebei China Fortune, which would
have netted him £42 million dollars in personal wages for a year.
It
comes as Arsenal are pursuing the striker very closely, with Napoli saying they do not want to sell the player for less than his £80 million release fee.
Besiktas are preparing a bumper bid to land Man City captain
Vincent Kompany, according to the Sun. The report says the Turkish
giants believe they are capable of doing a deal with in a week, as they
are preparing a £25 million bid for the Belgian international. One
potential snare in the plan, appears to be the trouble they'd have
matching his current Manchester City
wage of £130,000-a-week. Two meetings have taken place between the
clubs at this stage, with Besiktas making it a top summer window
priority.
Portugal and Sporting Lisbon
star Joao Mario is the subject of interest from Chelsea, according to
the Sun. The report has Chelsea on the verge of offering a bid of £46
million on the midfielder, as their interest has been largely motivated
by the player's strong Euro 2016 tournament. Mario's agent is Kia
Joorabchian, someone who has recently helped orchestrate Chelsea deals
for his clients, such as Matt Miazga and Alexandre Pato over the last
twelve months.
Everton are reportedly monitoring the situation for Fernando
Llorente, according to ESPNFC. The report says the Sevilla are open to
the striker moving on in the summer, as he had limited minutes this
season due to great competition amongst the club's attacking personnel.
Everton are monitoring the situation, with new Everton boss Ronald
Koeman keen to add more firepower to his squad.
