Football Paper Round: Gareth Bale v Cristiano Ronaldo, plus Pep Guardiola plans a Manchester City clearout
Guardiola introduces his City blueprint
Bale vs. Ronaldo
England PR chief makes social media gaffe
Pep Guardiola has spoken to the Manchester City
fans after his official unveiling at the club and is set to offload a
host of players, reports The Sun. Former Barcelona and Bayern boss
Guardiola has opened the war of words with Jose Mourinho,
while in the transfer window he has already added
Ilkay Gundogan to his
squad and is keen to strengthen further, with up to nine existing City
players under threat. And those who survive the cull won't be in for an
easy ride, with Guardiola promising to "kick their a***s".
Chris Coleman
has stoked the flames ahead of Wales' semi-final against Portugal after
already suggesting that there will be no love lost between Real Madrid
team-mates Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, reports the Telegraph.
Asked about the two stars, Coleman described Bale as "not manufactured,
he doesn't try to be something he's not".
The Football Association's communications manager Andy Walker
has come under fire after a misjudged post on networking site LinkedIn,
reports The Sun. Mr Walker bragged as he posted a snap of his private
jet seat on the way back from the tournament following England's exit.
And the suit made things worse with his tale of traipsing around France
staying in numerous luxury hotels.
