Fire engulfs Dubai Marina skyscraper

Dubai: A residential skyscraper in the densely populated Marina district in Dubai has been engulfed in fire sending plumes of smoke into the air on Wednesday.

Sections of the building’s exterior fell off and tumbled below as the blaze caught the Sulafa Tower.

The fire which appeared to have started on the upper floors, quickly spread to other floors and the sides of the building.
According to an eyewitness, Nora Maki, who lives across the street, said the flames “spread like wildfire” but that firefighters “did an amazing job” of getting it under control.
There were no immediate reports of causalities.
