Disney's Moana will not have a love interest

Entertainment: Polynesian princess Moana will not have a love interest in the new film revealed Disney's Moana directors John Musker and Ron Clements during Disney's panel at San Diego Comic-Con on on Friday.

Disney's Moana is the story of the nominal 16-year-old girl, voiced by Hawaiian newcomer Auli'i Cravalho, who goes on an adventure to locate an exiled demi god Maui (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) to save the world!

The directors mentioned that this is a story about the heroine discovering herself even while she won't have a love interest with a prince as Moana enjoys a magical relationship with the sea.

The filmmakers added that; with recent Disney hits like Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph that are centered around the subjects of friendship and self-acceptance, we think this idea will really pay off for modern audiences.
Sure, there's so much more for children to take away in movies apart from discovering their true love but we can never forget our favorite couples from Disney classics!
